Too many Lukes.
Lukes and Nicks and Lukes and Nicks and Lukes and Nicks and…
So I am collecting all the Johnny Cash American Recordings and in one he does his own cover version of Nick Cave’s “Mercy Seat” and that song is so haunting that I have to not listen to it for weeks between hearing it. Nick Cave writes a good lyric.
He’s one of my favorites.
Just talking about it has it rolling around my head again. Dang it.
Yupp. The Caveman ROCKS!
I need to see if luke crane will sing “Where The Wild Roses Grow” for us.
Going through their names in my head was surprisingly effortful.
Rocio Goodey if you have not done so already, you need to watch “Wings of Desire” (1987). That was my first introduction to Nick Cave and I’ve been stuck with him ever since. imdb.com – Wings of Desire (1987)
Ulf Bengtsson saw it! Whitney Goodey had me watch it soon after we were married.
I was having this same discussion with my wife last night. She kept calling Luke Cage, Nick Cage and I said don’t forget to throw in Nick Cave to really mess with it. So this picture was perfect timing.
Only if I get to bash your head in with a rock at the climax.
TEMPTING!
Nick Cave’s Into My Arms was featured prominently at my wedding. And my wife and I are even still married and stuff.
Good thing you didn’t bash her head in with a rock.
… luckily we had some built in stress-relievers… we had gaming for everyone instead of dancing …
