What made MY0 so killer (that I assume you think GA lacks)?
Mark Delsing the zone/ark activity split, and the seamless way the random material fed both regular play and the meta plot.
The organic way the campaign plot spooled out is just great.
Ohh man. This looks pretty cool.
Backed this one too. Learned my lesson missing Genlab Alpha. These folks have my money up front from now on!
How good is Genlab? I see they’ve got a 20% off thing going on on their site and shipping is reasonable. Worth picking up?
Kyle Simons I like it quite a lot but not as much as Year Zero. I think it’ll be neat too someday mix in the animals and mutants and robots.
The campaign frame is good but a little undercooked.
I think Genlab Alpha is about 80% as cool as Mutant Year Zero. I think MYZ does some cooler things with the arc building and also has a lot more pressure on characters from a survival standpoint but the minigame in Genlab Alpha is pretty sweet. You play mutant animal resistance fighters throwing off the yoke of their human oppressors! How cool is that!? As always, mileage may vary.
