It takes 4 hours just to set up the board, and each character has 200 pages of idiosyncratic rules, plus one of the characters has no MDC armor or weapons to start with and only 64% of succeeding at their best skill, which is Culinary Science. That skill is never required by any game rules.
Picked up the savage worlds version of Rifts as I was a wee Rifter in high school. It was a crap system back then and it hasn’t gotten any better. Savage Worlds at least makes it serviceable.
I should be the target audience for this… But nope.
Since the worst thing about Rifts was the combat, I’m not really seeing the advantage of just doing that part, but with 4E minis.
