I am desperately in love with A Feast for Odin these days.

I am desperately in love with A Feast for Odin these days. Finally expanding my play a little, experimenting with extra buildings, jumping on the colony game, really leveraging the jobs cards.

It still feels elaborate but dang, so good. The designer does this thing where he evokes a real sense of…I don’t know. Despair? Hopelessness? I felt the same playing Agricola: oh God how will I feed my children? Oh God I need children to do all this work! Same thing here, except it’s the utter hopelessness of ever filling up the vast spaces you’ve committed to growing into, and then suddenly you’re cramped for space.

  1. Zachary Baudoin I’ve played solo umm 3 times now. It’s really good! And surprisingly compact to set up and tear down given how sprawled out it looks on a table.
