In other words, a flash of greed like you experienced, where power corrupts your decisionmaking, might be the point of the zero-sum nature of the rules. Perhaps the game is saying “You did all this prep, but did you really plumb the depths of what happens when there’s a dramatic power differential in an institutional relationship?
