Paul Beakley if you haven’t played Ben Robbins’s Kingdom yet, you might find some very good inspiration there. Both for high-stakes interpersonal conflict that is mainly non-violent and for having the characters’ values strongly influence their behaviors.

I’d even suggest you actually sit down with your group and play The Crown as a Kingdom game – include all the scenes you care about, see how well a job it does in emulating what you want. I’d wager a pretty good one!
