In casual speech, concepts like ‘toy’ and ‘game’ are just fuzzy balls of associations, ‘toy’ perhaps being more strongly associated with ‘children’ than ‘game’ is (and hence pejorative to us grown man-children who take our games seriously but nurture insecurity about it).

I’m much more interested in declared definitions so we can get on with finding out what useful distinctions they draw within the subject they relate to.
