The mish-mash of real names, fake names and re-skinned cultures just feels like a hot mess to me. And is it just DW in Roman cosplay or does Roman culture actually matter in some way?
There’s a little-known game, Roma Imperious, that probably does this better. It’s a pretty trad system, but it seems well-researched.
