Robert Bohl I’m not seeing any problem re communication! Everyone can talk to everyone in the movies. Unless you’re Imperial, then you can only speak Basic apparently. I take that as an extension of the basic Imperial racism and I’m more than happy to indulge that. 

Oh I guess if you’re an Ewok, it matters then too. Otherwise communication just never, ever comes up. 

It does invalidate the existence of C3PO. Whatever. You can still have diplomat robots.
