There’s a thing, I believe Vincent Baker mentioned in In A Wicked Age, about giving your narrator an in-world voice. So where you might want to say “there’s a man at the front of the school, teach the children” you might instead say “where you expect a woman, instead you find a MAN doing the feminine work of teaching the children”.
This is a very literary technique, as it’s not a thing you can get across with filmic language (without exposition dialog). I think it’s pretty similar to Jason Corley’s point
