On the strength of your comment about mechanization and escalation, I suspect there’s something to be said about Vincent’s interest in escalation (see, obviously, Dogs) versus BW’s interest in… Not exactly in de-escalation, but specifically in whether and when and why you’ll step back.

They’re obviously kindred interests, and I definitely don’t mean to suggest that Vincent and Luke are at any kind of opposite poles here (if anything, the reverse: they’re interested in the same thing, but looking at it from somewhat different directions with different results).
