John W. Sheldon, I had the exact same feels when I started getting serious with Urban Shadows. Monsterhearts was already a thing and someone had just announced work on a modern day fairy tale game and I had to ask myself ‘do we really need more modern fantasy pbta?’. Clearly people were into more, and of course the end products were different enough to stand out from one another; but it’s scary to stand on that point and face it.
