It’s not just kids that are missing. Something I’ve been noticing a lot more (and being irked by) in F&SF in general is worlds that are predominantly male. Not a game, but we just finished listening to Lloyd Alexander’s Prydain Chronicles. Only ONE real female character, really? Raising a daughter makes me cranky about that sort of thing.
