JC Nau it’s a tricky thing! My instinct is to always, always get a sense of intent. In fact I’ll say I do, as a practical matter, tend to be aware of what their intent actually is. But I don’t talk about it because that creates the expectation that I need to honor that. Which the rules don’t require or even allow, especially on AUF 7-9s.

Which is why I say it’s like being one of those asshole genies who fucks with you because they know exactly what it is you were asking for.
