If I may humble brag for a moment, when I am running a con game I get very annoyed at players in category number two. I have many people show up to the table never having read the system description or the scenario blurb, and sometimes they aren’t excited when they realize what’s happening. Why did they play the game? Because I was running it. Flattering, I suppose, but doesn’t make for a group that’s on the same page and ready to enjoy what’s on offer.
