I think it’s formally the biggest game I own.

I think it’s formally the biggest game I own. Previous record holders were Tide of Iron, Runewars, and Empires: Age of Discovery.

Now I’m feeling intimidated by the organizer I bought for this. Somehow photos can’t show how big it is.

  1. As far as pure size/weight… Kingdom death weighed about the same. Cthulhu Wars core is probably smaller/lighter … but w/ all the expansions dwarfs any game I have discounting 40k …

That said I’m excited to get this on the table (and I don’t mean just sitting there looking pretty…) I’ve had it a few weeks and still haven’t managed to play it.

  2. Ditto, but I don’t own nearly as many games as you do, so the benchmark is lower. I bought it with the hope that I’d find some folks to commit to it with me. No luck so far and I’m stuck with this 350lb. monster. I may end up using it just to execute my enemies through pressing.

  3. I’ll be curious to hear if you like it. My friend who has Gloomhaven was complaining a little about how the game as-is is a bit tricky to organize and he’s always hunting for monster AI cards and the like.

  4. It’s so much fun. Ours is organized by putting the counters, standees, and decks in one of those hardware organizers with transparent drawers; the rest fits in the box, with all the character packets and miniatures back in their slots.

  5. I bought the organizer too. It’s a lifesaver. It’s worth the time and effort you put in to building it. The game is SUPER hard, but my group loves it.
